The Boat

The Reel Action is a 44' Custom Henriques sport fisher.  It is powered with twin 430hp Cummings commerical grade turbo diesel engines, providing a comfortable 20 knot cruise.    

The boat carries 600 gallons of diesel, so range is never an issue.  Reel Action boasts an enormous 160 square foot cockpit equipped with a custom Murray Bros. fighting chair.  It has port and starboard below deck insulated fish boxes that can hold up to 25 large tuna, so there will not be any coolers sliding around the deck.  The inside of the Reel Action has many luxuries, such as Heat/AC, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, TV and DVD player.  All this powered with a brand new Northern Lights 12kw generator. It also sleeps 5, so you can rest up on the way out to the fishing grounds or sleep on the way in after fishing all night.

Safety Gear

The Reel Action comes with the latest safety gear for all those long canyon trips.  You can feel secure with 2 six man offshore inflatable liferafts, 2 EPIRBS, and a satellite phone.  All safety equipment is inspected and registered with the Coast Guard.

Electronics

The Reel Action comes with the latest electronics: 12" North Star GPS, commercial fishfinder and radar, dual VHF radios, loran and single sideband.

Tackle

The Reel Action is equiped with all custom made Altenkirch rods and Penn International reels. We use the best fitting and most comfortable Braid harnesses for those long stand up battles with fish.
